The Ultimate Adult Gymnastics Class for Beginners

Do you ever wish you did gymnastics as a kid? Or maybe you did, but life happened—your body changed, you got busier, and now you’re wondering if you could ever do those skills again.

I’ve been there.

After having my third child, I started thinking I had missed my chance. That gymnastics was something “other people” got to do when they were young and flexible and fearless.

But I was wrong.

You can absolutely build a gymnast-style body in your 30s, 40s, and beyond.

And more importantly—you can reconnect with a version of yourself that feels strong, capable, and alive again.

 


A Class Built for True Beginners

This isn’t an advanced class.

This isn’t a performance class.

This is the class I wish existed when I started from scratch.

I offer it once a week on Saturday mornings in Salt Lake City. It’s 75 minutes long, and every minute is intentional.

It’s designed to give you the exact foundation your body needs before you ever worry about “skills.”

Because in gymnastics, everything comes back to two things:

Strength + mobility.


What the Class Looks Like

We begin with 15 minutes of gymnast-inspired strength training.

This is where we build the basics:
core control, shoulder stability, hip strength, and full-body awareness.

From there, we move directly into a 30-minute guided flexibility flow.

This is not random stretching.

This is structured mobility work designed to open your body safely and progressively—especially in the hips, shoulders, and spine.

For beginners, this first 45 minutes is everything.

It’s what makes the rest possible.


Then We Move Into Beginner Gymnastics Skills

The final 30 minutes is where things get fun.

This is where we reintroduce the body to movement patterns like:

  • forward rolls
  • headstands
  • cartwheel progressions
  • handstand foundations
  • backbend work

For some people, this is brand new.

For others, it’s a return to something they haven’t done in years.

Either way, it’s about rebuilding trust with your body—one skill at a time.


If You’re a Beginner, This Is Where You Start!

You don’t need to be flexible.

You don’t need to be strong already.

You just need to be willing to start.

That’s it.
